Aberdeenshire-based Subocean Group has announced that they are to create 50 new jobs as the result of a round of contract wins for the company. Subocean, based in Westhill, have already taken on an additional 75 staff in the past twelve months, bucking the trend during a serious economic recession where most companies are busy laying off workers. The company specializes in laying sub-sea cable and is planning to double the size of its premises at Arnhall Business Park. They currently employ 75 people onshore and 100 offshore, and the 50 new jobs will all be offshore positions to help the company meet its new contracts.
