When we look at our greenhouses do we ever think where they came from? Or even think about who invented these amazing growing spaces? Well let?s take a look at the history of the greenhouse and what has changed over the years. Many years ago when the world was still inhibited by the Romans, the roman emperor Tiberius was prescribed the cucumber once a day as a medical treatment. So this is where the idea for a controlled growing room came from. One could say that this was the start of the race to build the ultimate greenhouse. The Romans succeeded to build these controlled-room houses to produce the cucumber all year round.
