On the other hand TV antennas are not very attractive either, but that certainly doesn't stop most people from having a TV. And when we think about it, watching TV costs money, whereas operating a wind turbine has the opposite effect-- it saves money.
But without a doubt the greatest advantage is that any harnessing of natural power, however small, plays an important part in the reduction of C02and so reduces the greenhouse effect and global warming.
Certainly there seems no doubt when considering the advantages and disadvantages of wind power that the balance falls very much in favor of dispensing with the power company by building a wind turbine.
